Our Staff
Jared Falkanger
Director
M.A. Christian Formation and Ministry, Wheaton College 2019
B.A. International Relations, Wheaton College 2013
As the Director for Ministry and Evangelism, Jared encourages students to take their faith and learning in the classroom away from campus in service and ministry in both local and global contexts. As a student at Wheaton, Jared volunteered through the programs of the office and participated on a spring break service trip. Through these experiences, as well as his leadership roles on Orientation Committee and Student Government, he developed a passion for the intersection of ministry, student development, and Christian formation. After coming to Wheaton as undergraduate from Minnesota, Jared has spent the last 12 years teaching, volunteering, and developing relationships with parachurch organizations in Chicagoland. Jared loves his work with students as he supports, trains and develops leaders involved in Ministry and Evangelism programming. He especially loves the way that service forms identity and contributes to a deepening relationship with God. Jared attends Church of the Resurrection and volunteers in the youth group. He is married to Meaghan (’13) and is a new dad! He loves participating in cross-cultural activities, especially related to food and fellowship. His Minnesotan identity and accent are especially noticeable when he engages in conversation about his favorite Minnesota sports teams.
