Koinonia

In response to Christ's love, Wheaton Koinonia exists to glorify God through the unique cultures of Asian community.

Mission

As a Gospel-empowered fellowship, Koinonia seeks to glorify Christ by caring, serving, discipling and advocating for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students on campus, while also committing to supporting the voices of other marginalized racial and ethnic groups.

We invite you ALL to the campus announced events!

Vision

Koinonia, which means 'fellowship' in Greek, strives to help foster a relationship with Christ. Wheaton Koinonia has decided to emphasize three objectives for the year. First, Koinonia dedicates itself to celebrate Asian identity in Christ; secondly, the group will aspire to deepen interpersonal relationships for God; and lastly, it is our tertiary goal to improve structure and transparency within Koinonia. For more information on Koinonia please contact any of the cabinet members.

Who Can Join

While Koinonia exists primarily as a support to AAPI students at Wheaton, we provide numerous opportunities for the rest of campus to engage, learn about, and celebrate AAPI cultures. Our primary desire is to see God glorified and honored by our lives, and through Koinonia, our goal is that through fellowship within the Wheaton College Community we can encourage both AAPI and other culturally diverse students and also promote awareness of the diversity within AAPI cultures.
