The Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award is awarded every fall to top seniors from each of the four-year, degree-granting colleges and universities in Illinois. The Lincoln Academy honors individuals due to their leadership and service in pursuit of the betterment of humanity, as well as their demonstration of excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities.

At the ceremony in Springfield in October, Moore and her fellow student laureates received a certificate signed by the Academy Chancellor, the Honorable Ron Spears, and the President of The Lincoln Academy, J.B. Pritzker. In addition to the certificate, students received a Lincoln medallion, a challenge coin, and a $1,000 check from The Lincoln Academy.

Moore, a political science major, is the Founder and President of British Club, a student ambassador for Wheaton's donor advancement teams, and has served as the President of Wheaton’s International Justice Mission Chapter and as an Executive Vice President on Student Government. Following her graduation this spring, she hopes to return to the U.K. to attend law school.
