Prepare for college success with our free pre-college BRIDGE program. Gain an inside look at college life, build the academic skills you'll need, and deepen your faith - all while still in high school.
Our two-year pre-college BRIDGE program offers an unparalleled opportunity for Christian high school sophomores and juniors to get an inside look at college life while building the skills they'll need to succeed.
Each summer, you'll spend four weeks living on Wheaton College's campus, immersing yourself in the academic, spiritual and community experience. You'll take college-level courses, engage in leadership development, and explore your faith-informed vocational calling - all at no cost to you thanks to the generosity of our program partners.
Students should apply during their sophomore year of high school in order to participate the following two summers. High school juniors may also apply to participate in the second summer of the program.
The application deadline is April 1st each year. Apply early to secure your spot in the BRIDGE program.
Engage in discussion-based seminars, writing courses, and lectures on topics in the arts, humanities, theology, and social sciences at the college level. You'll also participate in field trips, team-building activities, and church visits, all within the context of Wheaton College's Christian liberal arts environment.
During the summer, you'll receive guidance for the college application process. And throughout your junior and senior years, BRIDGE scholars enjoy access to Wheaton's team of distinguished admissions counselors who provide academic tutoring and college application support
Through daily devotions, small group Bible studies, and one-on-one mentoring relationships, you'll deepen your faith and engage in regular worship. You'll also have opportunities to serve others through Christian community service projects, living in a supportive environment with peers and mentors who seek to strengthen their own relationship with God.
After completing the two-year BRIDGE program, students who are accepted to Wheaton College are guaranteed at least a partial scholarship. BRIDGE participants will also be eligible to compete for one of Wheaton's many full-tuition scholarships, including the Summit Multicultural Leadership Scholarship. While BRIDGE participation does not guarantee admission to Wheaton, it provides a clear pathway to accessing significant financial support for those who are accepted.
Hello, I'm Theon Hill, Ph.D., the Director of the BRIDGE program. I'm here to provide information and support as you consider joining the BRIDGE program.
