The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music is pleased to announce the appointment of Annika Stucky as Assistant Professor of Music, beginning August 2025. In this role, Ms. Stucky will serve as conductor of the Women’s Chorale and the Men’s Glee Club.
Ms. Stucky is currently completing her Ph.D. in Choral Conducting–Music Education at Florida State University, where she has served as conductor of the university treble ensemble Levana and assisted with Choral Union and undergraduate conducting courses. This year, she has also contributed to the broader choral community as assistant conductor of the Tallahassee Community Chorus and supported the development of future educators as a teaching assistant in Choral Methods and College Teaching: Music in Higher Education.
She holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Texas Christian University and earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Spanish Education from Kansas State University, graduating summa cum laude. While teaching high school choir at Junction City High School (KS), Ms. Stucky’s ensembles performed at the Kansas Music Educators Association state conference and for regional and national audiences. She was honored as the Outstanding Senior in Music at Kansas State and received the Alexander Award for excellence in music education.
An active clinician and conference presenter, Ms. Stucky has conducted honor choirs and shared her research at national, regional, and state conferences. She has twice been named a graduate conducting finalist for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) regional conferences. Her professional affiliations include ACDA, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society.
Originally from Lindsborg, Kansas, Ms. Stucky enjoys baking traditional Swedish recipes and spending time outdoors with her husband, Grant.
