Network Maintenance in Select Campus Buildings
Effective Dates: March 25, 26, & 27, 2018
Academic and Institutional Technology will be doing network maintenance in several campus buildings over a few days. During the maintenance, your computer will briefly lose its connection to the wired network, and when it reconnects, it will have a new IP address.
Key Benefits and Features
This is standard maintenance that fixes known issues.
Impact on College Community
The maintenance schedule will take place as follows:
- Sunday, March 25, starting at 8:00 PM we will be performing maintenance in the Chrouser Sports Complex.
- Monday, March 26, starting at 9:00 PM we will be performing maintenance in the Student Services Building and Edman Chapel.
- Tuesday, March 27, starting at 9:00 PM we will be performing maintenance in Blanchard Hall.
During the maintenance, computers in the building will briefly lose their connection to the wired network, and when it reconnects, it will have a new IP address. For most people, a new IP address will not affect any systems or programs. However, if you currently use a fixed IP address for one or more programs or systems, you may need to manually update the system’s settings with the new IP address.
